Where these numbers come from
Camstrand sells one strap in seventeen models, and those models come off two different production lines: the woven cotton band with leather tabs, and the braided nylon rope with metal ends. Each line has its own supplier feedback file, so the rating you see here is the two files added together. The cotton range carries a merchant counter of 110 ratings. The rope range carries 149. That is the 259 in the headline, and nothing else feeds it.
We left out a third, much larger figure. The cotton listing also displays a 516-rating total, but that page states in its own footer that it pools feedback from several overseas merchants selling similar items. Those ratings are not ours to claim, so we kept the merchant counter instead. The 4.8 average is the more conservative of the two ranges: the rope line averages higher on its own listing, and the 119 written reviews we read average 4.88 between them.

Four of the 119 written reviews sit at three stars, and none sit below that. One flags the cotton band being wider than the lug slot on that buyer's camera, one calls the rope quality fair rather than excellent for the money, and the two others pair positive text with a middling score. What buyers actually talk about
A star average tells you almost nothing on its own. What a strap review is worth sits in the sentence the buyer bothered to write. So we read all 119 written reviews and counted how many raised each theme without being asked. A single review can raise several, which is why the shares add up to more than one hundred percent.

Two things stand out. The first is that build quality dominates: 67 reviews out of 119 bring it up on their own, ahead of price and well ahead of comfort. Buyers of an inexpensive strap expect it to feel inexpensive, and most of these say it does not. The second is the empty row at the bottom of the table. Not one written review complains about slow delivery, while 14 mention the opposite. That matters here, because these parcels travel from overseas and we quote 8-10 business days on every page.

What the cotton and leather range gets praised for
The cotton line pulls its reviews toward two words: sturdy and classy. Buyers pair it with film bodies and small mirrorless cameras, and several say it replaced a manufacturer strap that felt worse. A few mention it is slightly wider than the strap that shipped with their camera, which is the honest trade-off of a woven band. The supplier's own load sheet gives the only load figure we publish anywhere: 6.6 lb (3 kg) on a single lace, 22 lb (10 kg) with both leather tabs closed. What the braided rope range gets praised for
Rope buyers write about two things the cotton buyers never mention: the mounting kit and the length. The kit ships with loop laces, flat perforated tabs and split rings, so the same cord attaches through a lug slot, through a plate, or around a case, and several reviews say that is what made it fit a body they were unsure about. Length comes up in both directions. Some find it long for a compact and wear it cross-body instead, and one buyer shortened the cord. Nobody in the file reports a metal end failing. Names are masked at source, so every review carries the same attribution and we invent nothing to fill the gap. 16 of them came with a photograph, shown inside its own card at the shape the buyer's camera produced.

The nylon rope seems pretty sturdy and the whole thing feels well made for the price. The little attachment pieces are a bit worn-looking (see pic) but not a big deal. The only thing is the camera hangs pretty low (low abdomen/womb area) when around my neck. When i wear it cross body it’s a good length for easy access.
